This is part two of a real world facilitation of the Fair Play system. In our first episode, we learned about Brian and Lucy McAffee’s home dynamics. You likely found that, when it came to the division of labor and obstacles couples face, that some of their challenges are challenges you face in your family. We then discussed the guiding principles of the Fair Play system and started working through it.

This is part two of the two part series.

Today’s episode, from start to finish, is a real world facilitation of the Fair Play system.

As a reminder from our first episode, we left off at the point where Lucy had selected five Fair Play cards, household tasks if you will, based on the following criteria: 

• They were low stakes tasks, allowing Lucy to be more comfortable handing them off.
• They were tasks she did not enjoy.
• They were regular tasks, not one-offs like cleaning the gutters.

Brian is now beginning to select the three tasks he will own from Lucy’s selections.
